It is virtually impossible to imagine modern living without wireless communications. No matter whether we’re using the remote key to lock the car, changing the TV with the infrared remote or opening gates and doors at the company with an RFID transponder card. Even the nursery has long since gone “wireless”.

It must be something special, this VFA. So much honorary engagement of the members is not normal, or? But please from the beginning – step by step.

The term controller engineering represents since a long time not only local technical systems, existing of a combination of a control loop and operation sequences acting autonomous or partial-autonomous. Besides the manual input of information and commands e.g. a simple car-call, the communication between machines takes place more and more. As an example there is a solution found for a hospital with help of latest automation-components. This article shall exemplify how the system “Lift” becomes integrated into the superior system “Hospital” with its object-related regulations.

For most of the people a lift is just an electrical powered travel medium for a relaxed tackling of differences in altitude inside of buildings. Not more and not less….
