Why is the availability ending?

We continuously develop our control systems. Many of the new and steadily improved functions are integrated by request of our customers who face the perpetual challenge of providing better solutions at shorter intervals. Moreover, our customers have found out that investing in new modular systems pays dividends thanks to the functions that save time and reduce maintenance expenses and thus assure them competitive advantages.

BÖHNKE + PARTNER always strive to meet the customers’ increasing demands. On the other hand there is the cost of supporting older generations of our product family. Like other system suppliers, BÖHNKE + PARTNER are therefore forced to limit the number of currently available systems.

Thanks to these corporate directives, BÖHNKE + PARTNER can better concentrate their resources on providing service to current control systems and optimising the current product generation. This way BÖHNKE + PARTNER stay competitive and help their customers go ahead with increasing productivity and success.

Since the delivery of the control systems bp115, bp300, bp302, bp117 and bp304 we have launched the control system bp306 together with a comprehensive family of compatible solutions. We have always attached importance to transferring the full range of functions of the previous product into the new product generation in order that you can easily change over from the older system to the new one.
Some older control systems have been produced for 15 years. The production processes and the components applied do no longer correspond to the current production techniques of the 21st century. Many manufacturers of electronic appliances proclaim older components on the occasion of switching over to ROHS-conforming production. Production of these components is no longer cost-effective, replacement would have to be found and this would partly bring about extra cost. Furthermore, lower sales figures and expensive storage would additionally raise cost.

What systems have been discontinued?

bp115, bp300

These control systems have been superseded by bp306 adopting all their functions. New lift controllers will be equipped with bp306. The software of the superseded ones will not be maintained any longer but spare parts can be supplied up to ten years after proclamation of these old control systems.

bp302

This control system has been superseded by bp306 adopting all its functions. New lift controllers will be equipped with bp306. The software of the superseded one will not be updated any longer but spare parts can be supplied up to ten years after proclamation of this old control system.
In a few special cases, however, we can still produce controllers equipped with bp302, if an existing group of lifts is to be extended for example, or controllers are required for vessels and large-capacity aircraft or if customers having developed their proper hardware for the interfaces of bp302 require it as a component.

bp117, bp304, bp306

These control systems have been superseded by bp308 adopting all their functions. New lift controllers will be equipped with bp308. The software of the superseded ones will not be maintained any longer but spare parts can be supplied up to ten years after proclamation of the old control systems.

FDG-01, FDG-02, EAM-01

These remote diagnostics units and the electronic lift attendant module have been superseded by FDG-03 adopting all their functions. The software of the superseded units will not be maintained any longer but spare parts can be supplied up to ten years after proclamation of the old units.

SMZ-01, SMZ-02, SMZ-03

These safety modules have been superseded by SMZ-04 being identical as regards design, functions and terminal assignment. Thus every old safety module can be replaced by SMZ-04 without any problem.
